Michael G. Marcondes Smith is a PhD candidate and lawyer from Brazil. He holds an LL.M. in international human rights law from Lund University (Sweden) and a Bachelor of Law from the Presbyterian University Mackenzie (Brazil). His research is centred on providing a distributive interpretation of the principle of equality and non-discrimination within international human rights law in application to socioeconomic inequality. The project is funded by the FWO and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Wouter Vandenhole and Prof. Dr. Frédéric Vanneste.
