Patrick is a PhD researcher at the Department of History at the University of Antwerp and a volunteer researcher at the Study Centre for Companies and Exchanges (SCOB). He studies the development of banking in Antwerp between 1870 and 1940, seeking to reconstruct and explain the changes that took place. His broader research interest lies in financial history, with a particular interest in the functioning of financial institutions and practices and their place in society.
