About Steven Staelens

Prof. Dr. S. Staelens is a civil engineer and an MD. He holds a PhD in nuclear medicine instrumentation and his research focuses on using molecular imaging (PET and SPECT) in unraveling disease mechanisms. Clinically he is skilled as a GP and has a profound interest in multi-morbid and poly-pharmacological first-line patient care as well as in POCT and minor surgery in family medicine.
