Dutch-taught Bachelor Business Engineering: Management Information Systems
1. The Bachelor will be able to distinguish and define the basic concepts and main theoretical schools of the economic, exact and human sciences.
2. The Bachelor will be able to distinguish and define the basic concepts and main theoretical schools of various functional areas of management and management issues of ICT and information systems, and he/she will be able to indicate their relevance within an organisation.
3. The Bachelor will be able to describe the most important methods and techniques of business economic research, and he/she will be able to select and apply the appropriate methods for solving business economic problems.
4. The Bachelor will be able to identify the causes, consequences and interrelationships of important national and international social and business economic developments within a globalising society.
5. The Bachelor will be able to translate unstructured problems into concrete research questions.
6. The Bachelor will be able to apply the basic knowledge he/she has acquired in various national and international contexts.
7. The Bachelor will be able to cope critically with a multitude of (inter)national information sources, and he/she will be able to distil the proper information from them.
8. The Bachelor will be able to communicate on business economic and socially relevant topics, both orally and in writing, at an academic level in Dutch, as well as in at least two foreign languages.
9. The Bachelor will possess general academic skills, including logical reasoning, analytical thinking and the ability to argue and recognise the importance of lifelong and life-wide learning.
10. The Bachelor will be able to distinguish the ethical dimensions of (inter)national problems relating to business economics, society or IT, and he/she will be able to reflect upon these dimensions.
