Degree requirements
You hold a Bachelor of Laws (academic degree, minimum 180 ECTS) obtained in Belgium or a degree that is considered equivalent.
Candidates with a Bachelor of Laws from a higher education institution in Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg can enrol directly. All other candidates must submit an application through the online application tool Mobility Online. The link to Mobility Online is published early November 2025 on www.uantwerpen.be/admission.
Application deadlines to submit an application through Mobility Online:
- For non-EEA* nationals and for students who need to apply for a visa: before 28 February 2026
- For EEA nationals: before 31 May 2026
* EEA = European Economic Area Member states: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden
Language requirements
If your degree was issued by a recognized educational institution outside Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg, you must also prove your proficiency in English by submitting one of the language certificates below (obtained within the last two years; with the minimum score(s) mentioned):
- TOEFL iBT (taken at a test center; home versions are not accepted): minimum score 90
- IELTS Academic (taken at a test center; home versions are not accepted): overall score of at least 6.5 and minimum score of 6.0 for each individual component
- Cambridge English: minimum B2 First with a score of no less than 176
- ITACE (Interuniversity Test of Academic English): minimum B2
- Pearson PTE Academic (taken at a test center): minimum score 59
Results obtained on other language tests will not be accepted.
