Mission statement

The Antwerp Social Lab is a core facility of the University of Antwerp dedicated to advancing high-quality research in behavioural and psychophysiological science. We provide an integrated environment where researchers, students, and external collaborators can investigate human behaviour and physiological responses in both interpersonal and technology-mediated contexts.

Our mission is to offer reliable, state of the art research infrastructure combined with specialised methodological and technical expertise. By supporting projects of all sizes, from student theses to multidisciplinary research programmes, we enable rigorous and ethically grounded scientific inquiry across a wide range of disciplines.

Furthermore, the Antwerp Social Lab also actively contributes to a vibrant research community. Through regular lab meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events, we promote the exchange of expertise, the development of advanced measurement skills, and the dissemination of best practices in behavioural and psychophysiological research. Collaboration is central to our mission. We welcome partnerships within the University of Antwerp and beyond to foster high-quality behavioural and psychophysiological research.
