Samenvatting 

Vestibulaire aandoeningen kunnen zich in verscheidene klinische profielen voordoen, elk met eigen karakteristieken zoals de duur, frequentie, evolutie en oorzaken van duizeligheid. Helaas krijgen niet alle duizelige patiënten een accurate diagnose, aangezien we nog geen volledige kennis beschikken over sommige vestibulaire aandoeningen. Wij bestuderen karakteristieken van verschillende vestibulaire pathologieën om deze aandoeningen beter te begrijpen en accuratere diagnoses te kunnen maken. Prof. Floris Wuyts en Dr. Robby Vanspauwen zijn ook leden van de Barany Society, een wereldwijde expert groep over vestibulaire pathologie en die ook diagnostische criteria opstelt voor deze pathologieën.
