Hayat Bentouhami is director of the Study Center for Perinatal Epidemiology and lecturer in NCD-epidemiology. She holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and in Epidemiology. She completed her PhD on the importance of theoretical design in causal observational epidemiological research. She coordinated several (inter)national research projects and is currently responsible for monitoring perinatal morbidity and mortality in Flanders, with a particular focus on translating epidemiological evidence into practice and policy.
