Dirk De Bièvre is professor of political science, international relations and international political economy. He studied Dutch and English literature and linguistics in Leuven, political science and international relations in Louvain-la-Neuve and Konstanz, and obtained his PhD in political science at the European University Institute in Florence in 2002. Before moving to Antwerp, he worked at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn and the Mannheim Centre for Social Research. He has a special interest in global trade politics and interest groups' influence in it.
