About Wim Cuypers

Wim is a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Van Puyvelde’s lab at the University of Antwerp, where he works at the intersection of microbiology and bioinformatics. He completed his PhD at the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp and the University of Antwerp. His interests span fundamental and applied microbial genomics, with a particular focus on *Salmonella*, nanopore sequencing and wastewater metagenomics. He also enjoys sharing his expertise through teaching and student supervision.
