Elsa Leromain is an Assistant Professor at the University of Antwerp since September 2022 and an Associate Researcher at the Centre for Economic Performance (LSE) and at IRES (UCLouvain). She obtained her PhD from Paris School of Economics in October 2017. She is an applied economist with interests in international trade and economic geography. Her research studies the impact of trade policy shocks on major aggregate economic outcomes and aims to understand the roots of recent opposition to liberalization by examining its distributional impact within countries.
