Nick Van Oosterwyck earned his PhD in 2023, funded by the FWO, with a focus on energy-optimal motion profile optimization of robots and mechatronic systems. Since then, he has been working as a teaching and research assistant in the Department of Electromechanics, where he teaches various seminars and lab sessions on Motion Control and Electrical Engineering. He is also an active member of the Cosys-Lab research group, contributing to its mission of optimal and energy-efficient motion control. In addition, he coordinates the annual study trip for the master students in Electromechanics.
