Nick Van Oosterwyck graduated in 2018 with a master's in Electromechanical Engineering Technology, after which he started as a Ph.D. researcher. In 2019, he received additional funding from the FWO for his PhD project on energy-optimal motion profile optimization, which he successfully defended in 2023. Since then, he has been working as a teaching assistant within the Department of Electromechanics, where he teaches various seminars and lab sessions on Motion Control and Electrical Engineering. In addition, he coordinates the annual study trip for the master students of Electromechanics.
