Since 2022, I have been working at the Centre for Urban History as a PhD researcher on the "Hic Sunt Dracones" project, which seeks to better understand the changing relationship between toponyms and landscape features. Textual and spatial data are extracted from historical maps and analysed through digital methods such as GIS and machine learning. The focus of the research is on hydronyms from the river areas of the Durme and Nete. Previously I worked as an assistant at research group HOST (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and on the Time Machine 'Sint-Andries' project within GIStorical Antwerp.
