Registration

Deadline for registration: Friday 9 May 2025
Register through the general registration form.

Deadline for video submission (ResearchReels Challenge): Monday 19 May 2025.
The deadline to submit the necessary information for the Research Expo and AI-generated podcast is 9 May, to ensure sufficient time for questions and production follow-up.

ResearchReels Challenge

With this challenge, you will have the opportunity to showcase your research in a creative and engaging way through a short video! We are looking for clear, creative, and compelling science communication that effectively conveys the essence of your research. This material can be used as promotional content on our online platforms.
You can participate individually or as a group – both are welcome!

How to participate:

  •  Form a group with colleagues or participate individually - both options are equally encouraged to create a short video.
  • Video Guidelines:
    • Your video should be between 30 and 60 seconds in length, created in a TikTok-inspired style.
    • Highlight the most exciting aspects of your research – keep it fun, informative, and engaging!
    • The video can be filmed with any device (e.g., smartphone, camera, etc.) and can include animations, graphs or visuals that support your story.
    • Make sure to mention your full name(s) and research group in the video.
  • Submission: Once your video is ready, submit it via the Microsoft Forms link.
  • Deadline: Monday 19 May 2025

The most engaging video will win a special prize!

Register your participation via the general registration form (deadline 9 May 2025). Once your video is ready, upload it via the separate Microsoft Forms link (deadline 19 May 2025).

Research Expo

The Research Expo offers a platform for researchers to showcase their work through live demonstrations. This is your chance to present your work, engage with colleagues and industry professionals, and inspire unconventional collaborations. Demonstrations will take place during the coffee breaks and lunch.

To participate, send an email to Jessy Jollings by Friday 9 May, with the following details:

  •  Your name and Research Group
  •  Brief description of your demonstration (+ any relevant information)
  •  Necessary materials and setup requirements

Spaces are limited, so register as soon as possible. We can provide basic infrastructure (e.g., tables, screens) - requests should be communicated in advance.

AI-generated podcast or Poster

Attendees will have the chance to explore your research posters and listen to short AI-generated podcasts during the breaks.

AI-generated podcast
We will transform your research into an engaging podcast episode that attendees can listen to during the event. How to participate:

  •  Write a summary of your research (abstract, key findings, preliminary results, etc.)
  • Make sure to mention your name and research group
  • Max. 2 A4 pages
  • Send your document via email to Jessy Jollings by Friday 9 May

We handle the AI-generation process and ensure your podcast is ready to go.

Research poster
Register your participation via the general registration form.
Posters should be A0 format (portrait orientation)
Participants are expected to be present at 8:30 a.m. in Hall Building T to set up their posters.
Spots are limited, so register as soon as possible!

Afternoon Industry Session

During the Afternoon Industry Session, research groups will have the opportunity to present their work and participate in speeddate sessions with industry representatives.
Researchers of all levels are welcome to join the info session, attend presentations, and stay for the networking moment.
Detailed information regarding the research group presentations and speed dating will be provided by Jessy Jollings.
