Centre Pieter Gillis

Centre Pieter Gillis (CPG) is an academic platform for interreligious dialogue, active pluralism and interdisciplinary reflection at the University of Antwerp. It is focused on education, research and public service activities on religious diversity, pluralism and the social position of religion in Western societies. The Centre also organizes community service learning and different university-wide and interdisciplinary courses, which are compulsory for 2nd or 3rd bachelor students at the University of Antwerp. The research activities are focused on religious diversity and tolerance, philosophy of religion, the place of religion in the public sphere, interculturalism, solidarity, citizenship and religious education.
