Visa regulations for EEA+ nationals

If you are a national of a European Economic Area country (EU + Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) or from the UK , Monaco or Switzerland you may travel to Belgium with an international passport or identity card. You do not need to apply for a visa.

You only need to bring:

  • A valid international passport or identity card.
  • A European Health Insurance Card that proves you are affiliated with a health insurance provider in your home country.

On arrival, you will have to register for a declaration of presence (less than 90 days) or a residence permit (more than 90 days).
