We enjoyed a guided tour through the large arboretum garden. Some bad weather during the days prior to our visit (night frost, storm winds,...) had affected the fragile blossoms of the cherry and apple trees but we still got to see and smell some beautiful varieties. We also tasted the leaves of wild garlic and even spotted a few Easter bunnies! ;-)
At the same time, the children's Easter treasure hunt took place. Along the pathways of the arboretum, colourful egg images and Easter bunnies were hidden, the Belgian comic book characters Suske & Wiske (Spike & Suzy in the English series) had some games in store for the little ones, and afterwards the treasure hunters received a chocolate surprise.
We ended the tour with a drink in the cafeteria.
