UAntwerp launches its first Climate Fund project call, inviting all staff members, research groups, departments and services to submit ambitious, innovative and evidence‑based project proposals. The fund reinvests the CO₂e contributions from air travel into science, innovation and action that strengthens our university’s sustainability ambitions.
Projects can be submitted in three categories:
- Scientific projects with local sustainability impact — research‑driven initiatives that translate academic expertise into concrete societal impact, from neighbourhood to regional scale.
- UAntwerp as a living lab — Research, investments, experiments and awareness‑raising for a climate‑neutral and climate‑resilient UAntwerp based on analyses, pilot projects, policy interventions, educational innovation and/or participatory processes.
- Projects with sustainability impact in the Global South — strengthening local partners and communities, ideally with a CO₂e‑reduction component.
