For the second phase, the IUC programme consists of six different projects between which a certain synergy exists:
- Data management, statistical analysis & GIS
- Prevention, control and integrated management of chronic diseases
- Multiple literacies
- Laboratory science and public health management of sexually transmitted infections
- The impact of land-use on functions of the Limpopo and Olifants river systems
- Food security
