During the summer holidays of 2025, we upgraded our CalcUA clusters to Rocky Linux 9 (version 9.6).
Note: the free test period (under reservation rocky9) ended September 1, 2025.

The upgrade includes the following changes (see below):

  • new versions of kernel packages, drivers, and system installed user packages
  • Slurm updated to version 25.05
  • only toolchain versions 2023a and above will be available

Users will need to:

  • start using modules from 2023a or above
  • recompiling your code and/or recreating your (virtual) environments
  • check that their code still runs
  • update job scripts (if needed)

For questions and problems, please contact us via e-mail: hpc@uantwerpen.be.
