• Standardization of small animal imaging - European Society for Molecular Imaging
The aim of the ESMI Study Group on Standardization of Small Animal Imaging - STANDARD- is to standardize imaging protocols in a way that comparable results can be gained within different labs or provide reference methods that can be used to establish comparable imaging protocols. Our lab is actively inlvolved in the development of Standard Operating Protocols for small animal MRI.

  • Translational molecular imaging studies- to investigate functional connectivity in the Q175 mouse model for HD  - CHDI Foundation USA

  • Characterization of pharmacological device charateristics using MRI - Janssen Research & Development, Janssen Pharmaceutica N.V.
  • BQ-MINDED - international research project on quantitative magnetic resonance imaging - European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme
B-Q MINDED aims to overcome the current barriers by developing widely-applicable post-processing breakthroughs for accelerating Q-MRI. The originality of B-Q MINDED lies in its ambition to replace the conventional rigid multi-step processing pipeline with an integrated single-step parameter estimation framework. This approach will unlock a wealth of options for optimization of Q-MRI. To accomplish this goal, B-Q MINDED proposes a collaborative cross-disciplinary approach (from basic MR physics to clinical applications) with strong involvement of industry.

Experience-dependent plasticity in auditory perception and preference - Department of Biology, McGill University, Montreal, Canada
Vocal communication is critical for social interactions across a wide range of species, including humans. Indeed, social and communication disabilities are hallmarks in a number of cognitive disorders. To properly function, communication systems require interpretation of vocal signals, which can depend not only on the content of the signal, but also on an individual’s experiences. While social interactions throughout life appear to play a significant role in shaping perception, experience-dependent changes in perception remain poorly understood. To address this question, our project investigates how developmental and social experiences shape the perception of vocal signals, and the mechanisms that drive these changes in the brain.

Understanding cognitive disabilities following cancer radiotherapy treatment in Children - SCK CEN This research aims at estimating the health risks for young children after exposure to low and moderate doses of ionizing radiation in clinical setting for diagnostic or therapy.
