Do you work with binary or categorical outcome variables? Logistic regression is one of the most widely used statistical methods for analysing categorical data and is an essential technique in many research fields, including the life sciences, social sciences, economics, and public health.

This two-day course provides a practical introduction to logistic regression, with an emphasis on understanding the method, interpreting the results, and applying it to real-world research questions. Participants will learn when logistic regression is appropriate, how to build and evaluate regression models, and how to interpret odds ratios, predicted probabilities, and measures of model performance.

The course combines concise theoretical explanations with practical exercises. Throughout the training, analyses are performed using R, allowing participants to immediately apply the concepts to realistic datasets.

Although a basic understanding of statistics is recommended, no advanced mathematical background is required.
