The Re-Empower Project, funded through VLIR-UOS and carried out between the Law and Development Research Group and the Faculty of Law at Mzumbe University in Tanzania, held its official launching event at Mzumbe University in August 2025. The project focuses on overcoming socioeconomic and environmental risk factors for child marriage in Tanzania through a positive engagement with customs and traditions.

The event was also live-streamed on YouTube.
