When individuals from a migration background travel ‘home’, they may be motivated by grand and important intentions to maintain connections. Often, what they actually do while they are visiting is ‘hang out’. This discussion reviews some of the ways diasporic leisure practices and pursuits can be more consequential than they may appear.
