DIMinfr@ (Digital Information Management in Infrastructure) is an initiative with the aim of transforming the Flemish infrastructure sector through smart digitalization. By integrating modern fitechnologies—such as IoT, AI, BIM, and laser scanning—DIMinfr@ enhances data management, streamlines processes, and boosts operational efficiency across the entire infrastructure value chain. In order to facilitate the digital transition, the project offers useful tools, demonstrators, and training, and it promotes cooperation among contractors, surveyors, clients, and technology partners. With a strong emphasis on sustainability, DIMinfr@ helps the industry transition to more environmental friendly, future-proof business models, which will contribute to economic growth and reduce the environmental impacts.
DIMinfr@ is led by Universiteit Antwerpen (SuPAR and M4S research groups) and Hogeschool PXL (Expertisecentrum Bouw & Industrie and Centrum Digitaal Leren). It combines academic research with practical expertise to accelerate digital innovation in infrastructure. The project is funded by VLAIO (Flemish Agency for Innovation and Entrepreneurship) under the COOCK+ program, providing strong sector-wide support for innovation and knowledge sharing.
