Characterization and modulation of microglial responses following transplantation of allogeneic bone marrow-derived stromal cells in the central nervous system of immune competent mice. 01/02/2009 - 31/12/2010

Abstract

The short/long term survival of allogeneic bone marrow-derived stromal cell grafts will be determined through a combination of non-invasive in vivo imaging techniques, immunohistochemical analyses specific for different involved cell types and immunological assays (ELISPOT). The stromal cells will be genetically manipulated to express neuro-immune regulatory proteins in order to modulate microglial responses.
