As coordinator of quality assurance and research excellence, Birgit is involved in various selection and evaluation processes. As such, Birgit organises the research assessment exercises at UAntwerpen as well as the selections and evaluations of the Centres of Excellence (OEC) and the Core Facilities. In addition, she provides support in the recruitment and evaluation procedures for ZAPBOF professors. Further, she provides support for applications for the various types of Francqui Chairs and the honorary doctorates.
