Irene is specialized in international migration and immigrant integration into host societies, with a focus on the main obstacles to and the strategies prompting integration in the domains of welfare and education. She carries out research at the intersection of political science and sociology, thus strengthening a multifaceted academic profile. She obtained her PhD in Politics at the Luiss Guido Carli University (2022) and she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology, at the University of Trento (2022-2023).
