Iris Vanaelst is responsible for analysing the market potential of the different knowledge and technology commercialisation trajectories within the Antwerp University Association (AUHA). She coaches spin-off teams in their business plans and pitches. Another major assignment is the follow-up of the license agreements. In addition she is responsible for the strategic analysis of the AUHA key research domains and research growth areas.
Iris has a joint PhD VUB-UGent in Applied Economics. Prior to joining the Valorisation Office at the Department of Research and Innovation in 2017 she held different positions in academia, amongst others at the Nottingham University Business School (UK).
