As behavioural and animal ecologists we are interested in the causes and ecological consequences of individual differences in behaviour. Our research projects incorporate behavioural, evolutionary and ecological approaches involving long-term, experimental field studies and more recently also a significant amount of GPS tracking. Furthermore, we study the early developmental period, how variation in parental (care) behaviour impinges on cognitive development and social traits, and how family conflicts are resolved. I have listed a number of potential topics for MP and IP below, according to study species. Students from other universities interested in a master project or internship should contact me directly. If you have an idea for a project with a specific species or topic, you are more than welcome to discuss it with me preferentially by e-mail!
