I am a full time assistant professor of nutrition, neurochemistry and neurodegenerative disease (tenure track) at the Wageningen University in the Netherlands. My research focuses on the link between diet and neurochemical CNS changes in neurodegenerative disease, such as the potential effect of 5-HT/Trp on cognition along the microbiota-gut-brain axis. We also perform large scale intervention studies to assess the impact of lifestyle/diet on cognitive preservation. Next, I am also affiliated at UAntwerp as a guest professor where I am still involved in neurochemical dementia research.
