Frequently asked questions

Am I eligible for the programme?

Please check the admission requirements (prior education requirements and language requirements) and do not send us emails asking whether your degree grants access to our programme. The Admission Board will only review the documents you submit during the application procedure. We therefore recommend beginning your application and uploading all required documents in the application platform. You can find detailed instructions for the application process, including the full list of required documents, on this webpage

What are the language requirements?

The language requirements for this Master's programme are detailed here.

Students holding a degree that has not been issued by a recognized educational institution in Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxemburg are always required to provide evidence of proficiency in English by submitting the results of a language proficiency test (IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson PTE Academic, ...). Only students who hold a prior degree awarded by an English-speaking university from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom or the United States of America are exempt from submitting a language test. Absolutely no other diplomas will be accepted as evidence, even if the applicant has followed an exclusively English-taught programme.

How much is the tuition fee? And what is the cost of living in Antwerp?

All information regarding the tuition fees and cost of living are detailed on this webpage

Do I need to take the bridging programme?

Students with a prior degree outside Belgium who wish to pursue the Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy must first complete the mandatory Bridging Programme (45 ECTS). This programme is delivered in English over one academic year and is offered on a part-time basis, with classes scheduled on two - and occasionally three - days per week.

Can I apply for the Master Mind scholarship?

Students who begin with a bridging programme are not eligible for the Master Mind scholarship. Because all international students are required to complete the one‑year bridging programme in rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy first, they cannot receive this scholarship during that initial year. However, once they are enrolled in the bridging programme, they can apply for the Master Mind scholarship to start the Master's programme in the following academic year.
