Application procedure

To enrol for a programme at the University of Antwerp, you need to follow the necessary application steps. The admission process consists of two major parts: (1) Screening (document authenticity & fulfilment of admission requirements) and (2) Evaluation (acceptance or rejection).

Going through the application process will either guide you immediately to register and enrol into the programme (i.e. students from Belgium, Netherlands or Luxembourg with immediate diploma access) or after your application is accepted you will receive further enrolment instructions.

To start with your application, you can find the relevant application procedure for your particular situation through the link below:

Application deadlines

Depending on your individual situation, one of the following deadlines applies:

  • 28th of February 2026: for non-EEA nationals who need to apply for a visa. Applications received after this date will not be considered if you still have to apply for a visa.
  • 31st  of May 2026: for EEA nationals
  • 2nd of October 2026: for master students with a Belgian or Dutch degree that gives direct access to the programme (be mindful; classes start from 21st of September 2026 onwards).

Please note that applications after the above deadlines are automatically rejected by the registrar’s office. Be aware that the legalisation and translation of documents takes time and account for it when starting your application.
