The fee includes lectures, course material, coffee breaks, a closing ceremony, and social activities. It does not include accommodation, meals, or travel arrangements.
Disclaimer - cancellation
Cancellation by the organisation
Should the winter programme be cancelled by the organiser for organisational reasons or as a result of force majeure more than two weeks after the application deadline, the organiser will refund the tuition fee. Claims for further liabilities or damages are excluded.
Cancellation by the participant
If the participant cancels more than 4 weeks before the start of the winter programme, 50% of the tuition fee can be reimbursed. If the participant cancels within 4 weeks before the start of the winter programme, € 100 of the tuition fee will be refunded, unless otherwise mentioned on the website of the specific winter programme. This will also be so in case of changing travel regulations and/or in case of a positive test for covid-19 before or during the winter programme. All refunds are made in euros. The organisation cannot refund any shortfalls due to exchange rate fluctuations or bank charges.

Different kinds of scholarships are available. Read carefully the information below.
Scholarships for University of Antwerp students
Two types of scholarships are available for students who are currently enrolled as regular students of the University of Antwerp.
- Refund of €150/student after attending a summer or winter school organised at Antwerp Summer and Winter University. Students should prefinance the full tuition fee and can claim a reimbursement of the allowance after submitting a certificate of attendance and proof of payment to the Antwerp Summer and Winter University Office. The following students qualify for this refund: University of Antwerp students regularly enrolled under a diploma contract in a Bachelor, Master, Advanced Master, Preparatory Programme, Bridging Programme or Academic Teaching Programme, in either academic year 2021-2022 or 2022-2023.
- Scholarship for a short international experience for students who qualify for financial aid by the Department of Social, Cultural and Studentaffairs (SCS). Please refer to Blackboard ("een internationale ervaring > beurzen") or contact the Antwerp Summer and Winter University Office for more information on these scholarships.
- There are also five full scholarships offered by Tiberghien, Argo Law, Ernst & Young, ECGB Advocaten, and Linklaters for law students from the University of Antwerp with limited financial means. Students will be selected based on their financial situation, and their motivation for attending the winter school. Applications need to be submitted before December 9th, 2022. The funding decision will be communicated on December 14th, 2022.
