The Port of Antwerp operates on a scale that does not fit into a single story.
Ships and terminals may catch the eye, but the real engine sits behind the scenes: a mix of financial decision-making, digital systems and coordinated logistics that keeps the entire operation running Finance and technology are both essential layers that form the structure of Europe’s second biggest port.
This semester, our two Business Connect events opened a window into that structure. Through two dedicated panel discussions, we explored the finance powering the Port and its evolution into a true data hub. The events were co-organised by Capitant, Alechia, IMBIT, Antwerp Management School (AMS) and the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE).
