Immersion programme
The programme
In this one-week programme (two cohorts per year), students immerse themselves in Antwerp’s dynamic business environment and its significance within the broader European landscape. Classroom instruction blends with interactive workshops, company visits, and field trips, providing participants with direct insight into Belgium’s renowned economic sectors, notably the diamond and chocolate industries. Through expert-led lectures, students analyze topics including the Belgian economy, sustainability and ethics in business, leadership, crisis management, and strategic decision-making in a complex global context.
A strong emphasis on experiential learning.
Participants engage in practical activities such as leadership workshops and immersive simulations, while also gaining first-hand insights into Antwerp’s business ecosystem through visits to the diamond district, meetings with industry professionals, and an interactive, hands-on (chocolate-making workshop) experience at Chocolate Nation. In addition, a dedicated day in Brussels introduces students to the European Union, including visits to major institutions such as the European Commission and the European Parliament, providing valuable context on European integration and policymaking.
Exploring the city of Antwerp
Beyond the academic components, students are encouraged to explore Antwerp's cultural and historical richness through guided city tours and social activities with local students. By combining academic content with real-world exposure and intercultural exchange, the programme enables participants to broaden their perspective, deepen their understanding of international business, and further develop the skills needed to operate effectively in a global environment.
