During the Doctoral Day, the Antwerp Doctoral School welcomes new PhD researchers, but also offers seminars that could be of interest for PhD researchers who are at a more advanced stage of their PhD journey. All PhD researchers are expected to attend at least once over the course of their PhD.
The upcoming autumn editions will take place on:
- Thursday 16 October 2025 (on-campus & online via Blackboard Collaborate);
- Friday 17 October 2025 (only on-campus).
The programme is identical for both editions.
Registration
Choose the date on which you will participate. The programme includes parallel sessions (check the programme for the descriptions).
Upon registering, please note:
- The confirmation email you receive upon registering is your personal schedule for the Doctoral Day. It includes an overview of the sessions in which you enrolled.
- When your registration is confirmed, you are expected to attend and it is not possible to switch to a different parallel session.
- A few days before the event, you will receive a reminder with all practical details, including information about online access for online participants.
- If you enrolled for the morning plenary sessions, you are expected to watch the explainer videos in advance (see below).
- A no-show fee of € 50 will be charged to your educational credit if you don't show up when registered for live participation without notifying us by 8 October 2025 (DoctoralSchool@uantwerp.be). After 8 October, you can only cancel in case you are ill, with a doctor’s note.
