Climate security

In an interuniversity and interdisciplinary consortium, led by KULeuven, it is researched how the concept of climate security can be integrated in policy. Climate security connects the consequences of climate change to peace building and conflict prevention. It is being researched how peace-building and security efforts can become more climate resilient and how climate change adaptation is to be done in a fragile context. KLIMSEC targets the African great lakes area.
