Since autumn 2024, an Islamic prayer room has been available on the City Campus.
For whom/for what?
This quiet space is open to all students and staff of the University of Antwerp who wish to reflect or are looking for a moment of prayer.
Where?
Second floor of Zomaar een dak (Stadscampus | Prinsstraat 32 – 2000 Antwerpen)
When?
The prayer room is accessible every weekday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Feel free to drop by whenever it suits you - you are most welcome. If you find the door closed during opening hours, please knock at the office of Gert and Xenia (ground floor, at the back), Ken (first floor, stairs) or Mourad (first floor, room).
Important
There is a room divider in the corridor next to the prayer room. The spaced behind this divider are not accessible (in other words: you may only enter the second floor of Zomaar een dak to use the prayer room in accordance with the user guidelines below). Failure to respect this rule will result in denied access to the prayer room.

- Respect the silence; the prayer room is not a space for conversation or waiting
- Be considerate of other users; everyone should be able to reflect simultaneously

- Do not block access to the prayer room
- Do not eat or drink in the prayer room
