The Dennie Lockefeer Chair is realized through unique crowdfunding. All donations that are made available through a contract or gift are used exclusively for the three cornerstones on which the Dennie Lockefeer Chair focuses:

• Research (e.g. to support the inland shipping sector, innovative inland navigation concepts,…);
• Education (e.g. annual award for best thesis, biennial fee for Antwerp Inland Navigation School,…) and;
• Scientific services (organizing a series of lectures,…).
