Are you joining STI-ENID 2026 as a PhD researcher? Before the conference officially begins, we invite you to meet fellow PhD students from across the international STI community during our PhD Networking Event.
The event is designed as an informal opportunity to get to know one another, exchange experiences, and make new connections at the start of the conference. Through a series of small-group conversations, you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself and your research, meet other PhD researchers, and exchange ideas about your work and experiences as an early-career researcher.
To help get the conversations started, you may want to think beforehand about:
- What your PhD research is about
- The research question you are currently working on
- The methods or data sources you are using
- A challenge you are encountering in your PhD
- What you hope to learn from the STI community
There is no formal presentation to prepare. We simply invite you to come ready to briefly introduce yourself and your research and to exchange ideas with fellow PhD researchers.

- 16:00-16:10 | Welcome and introduction: A brief welcome by the Local Organizing Team and introduction to the networking format.
- 16:10-17:10 | PhD networking
- 17:10-17:20 | Wrap-up and practical conference information
After the event, we invite you to continue the conversations at the STI-ENID 2026 Welcome Reception at the Grauwzusters Monastery, starting at 17:30.
