Presentation Guidelines

We are delighted to welcome your contribution to the 30th Annual Science & Technology Indicators Conference as an oral presentation.

Each oral presentation is allocated a 20-minute time slot, consisting of 15 minutes for the presentation followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion. Your presentation time and room allocation can be found in the conference program on the Oxford Abstracts platform.

To ensure that all sessions run smoothly, we kindly ask presenters to upload a copy of their presentation slides by Friday 4 September, 12:00 p.m. CEST (Belgian time).

Presentation Slides

Please upload your presentation slides in PDF format to your submission dashboard in Oxford Abstracts by Friday 4 September, 12:00 p.m. CEST (Belgian time).

Submitting your slides in advance allows the organizing team to prepare the presentation laptops before the conference and helps ensure that sessions start on time.

Although not required, we recommend bringing a copy of your presentation on a USB drive as a backup.

Please note the following:

• If your presentation includes video, audio, or other multimedia, please embed these files in your presentation and indicate on which slide(s) they appear when submitting your slides. This allows us to test all media in advance.
• Please ensure that any custom fonts are embedded in your presentation.
• You are not required to use an STI-ENID presentation template.
• Your first slide should include:
  • First name, last name, and institutional affiliation of all presenters
  • Your submission ID (available in Oxford Abstracts and your acceptance email)
  • The title of your presentation

During the Conference

Your presentation will already be available on the computer provided in your session room. Presenters are therefore not required to bring their own laptop.

Please arrive in your session room a few minutes before the session starts to introduce yourself to the session chair and confirm that your presentation is ready.

A member of the local organizing team will be present in each session room throughout the session to assist with practical matters and provide support if needed.

Please note: We are unable to connect personal laptops to the presentation system. If this presents a problem for your presentation, please contact the local organizing team as soon as possible via stienid2026@uantwerp.be.

Poster presenters are asked to print their poster in A0 portrait format (118.9 cm × 84.1 cm). Please note that posters wider than 90 cm cannot be accommodated on the poster boards.

If you would like to print your poster in Antwerp, we recommend Universitas (Prinsesstraat 16, 2000 Antwerp), located approximately a five-minute walk from the conference venue.

Setting Up Your Poster

Please mount your poster on the assigned poster board upon arrival at the conference venue in the morning.

Poster boards will be numbered daily by the organizing team. Your submission reference number corresponds to your assigned poster board number.

Poster presentations have been grouped into thematic clusters, which are indicated in the conference program.

Presenters are kindly requested to be present at their poster during the designated Poster Presentation session from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the foyer of Aula Rector Dhanis. This time slot is indicated in the conference program.

After Your Presentation

Please remove your poster at the end of your assigned conference day.

Any posters remaining after the conference day has ended will be removed by the organizing team and cannot be stored or returned.
