The Welcome Week took place from Monday, 15 September to Friday, 19 September 2025.

All international degree students were invited to attend the Welcome Week. Belgian and Dutch students could attend Faculty Day on Wednesday, 17 September. Exchange students attended Orientation Day on Thursday, 18 September. And students at the Institute of Development Policy had their own programme.

'It was an awesome Welcome Week, as was the preparation beforehand. I felt very much introduced in nearly everything possible - from the culture and people, through the university and the city, up to sports and free time activities. I felt accepted and welcomed as an international student, and I never had anything comparable in the past. I am really, really happy and grateful for the incredible organisation, support and effort that was put into this week, and for all the gifs and food/drinks that were offered to me for free. I am positively overwhelmed, and I am saying straight from my heart: thank you so, so much!'
