Student umbrella organizations Unifac & NOVA, your first point of contact

What do Unifac and NOVA do?

Unifac and NOVA are UAntwerp’s two umbrella student associations. They represent and support the different student associations and act as a bridge between the associations, students and the university.

Are you a member of a recognised student association? If so, Unifac and NOVA are your first points of contact.

Unifac is the umbrella organisation for student associations at Stadscampus. NOVA represents the student associations at Campus Drie Eiken and Campus Groenenborger.

We would like to introduce you to the Unifac team above and the NOVA students below.

How can they help you?

  • Practical advice and support

  • Workshops and training sessions

  • Equipment rental

  • Collaboration between associations

  • Organisation of events and campus activities

  • Representation of student associations through the Antwerp Student Consultation

You can find all the information about their activities and support on VUAS, UAntwerp’s platform for student associations.

Why have your association recognized?

Would you like to start a new student association or have an existing association officially recognised? Recognition by UAntwerp gives your association the support it needs to organise activities, grow and build a strong organisation.

As a recognised student association, you can benefit from:

  • The opportunity to apply for funding for your activities and operations.

  • Guidance and advice from UAntwerp’s Department of Student Services, NOVA, Unifac and the student network coordinators.

  • A place within the student network through the association council of your campus cluster.

  • Practical support, such as help with organising activities and access to storage space.

  • Greater visibility through UAntwerp’s communication channels and permission to use the UAntwerp sponsor logo.

Ready to get started? View the recognition requirements on VUAS and find out how to apply for official recognition for your association.
