Main Entrance

The main entrance to building s.D. is located at Grote Kauwenberg 18 and is wheelchair accessible. Just before the entrance, there is a steep slope of 1 metre (15%).

Building s.D. is also accessible via the entrance at the corner of Grote Kauwenberg and Vekestraat (Agora Café, building s.E), or from buildings s.A, s.B and s.C.

Lift

The lift in building s.D provides access to the underground parking. It measures 120 by 130 cm, and the door is 85 cm wide. On each floor, you must pass through double fire doors to reach the lift. Each door is 78 cm wide. To open the second door panel, it must be unlatched at the top and bottom. Assistance is required.

Accessible parking space 

The underground parking can be accessed via Grote Kauwenberg, near number 16. 

Staff can access this parking using their badge. Visitors or students must request an access code in advance from the Infrastructure Department.

There is one designated parking space for persons with disabilities (see photo at the bottom of this page), located close to the lift to the ground floor.

Wheelchair-accessible toilet

There is an accessible toilet in the facilities on the ground floor. The door is 86 cm wide, with a maximum turning circle of 100 cm. The toilet has two grab rails, one of which is foldable. A larger accessible toilet is available in the atrium of building s.C or in the corridor towards building s.E.

s.D.011

Room s.D.011 has adjustable chairs and tables, and a level floor. The door is 86 cm wide. When exiting the room, there is no clear space next to the door to position a wheelchair.

s.D.013

Room s.D.013 has adjustable chairs and tables, and a level floor. The entrance consists of two panels, each 76 cm wide. To open the second door panel, it must be unlatched at the top and bottom. Assistance is required. ​

s.D.014

Room s.D.014 has adjustable chairs and tables, and a level floor. The entrance consists of two panels, each 79 cm wide. To open the second door panel, it must be unlatched at the top and bottom. Assistance is required.

s.D.015

Room s.D.015 has adjustable chairs and tables, and a level floor. The entrance consists of two panels, each 79 cm wide. To open the second door panel, it must be unlatched at the top and bottom. Assistance is required.

s.D.017

Room s.D.017 has adjustable chairs and tables, and a level floor. The entrance door is 86 cm wide.
