Inventory in progress

Maps

The University of Antwerp has a large collection of geographical maps that were used for education purposes at the Faculty of Science (dept. biology) and the Faculty of Design Sciences. The collection not only contains topographical and geological maps of Belgium, but also of other European countries, dating mainly from the middle of the twentieth century.

Wall charts

In times when the projection of an image was still impossible, or very cumbersome, use was made of wall charts to show images to students . The wall chart collection of the University of Antwerp mainly contains historical maps, topographical maps, linguistic maps, climatic maps and biological charts.
