Nathalie Dens is professor of Marketing. She teaches Marketing Policy and Consumer Behaviour. Her research is applied to different forms of (marketing) communication, both online and offline. She is the promoter of several projects on persuasive communication, co-creation communication, advertising on social network sites and online reviews.

Karolien Poels is professor of Strategic Communication and Persuasive Technology at the Department of Communication Sciences and member of the research group MIOS (Media & ICT in Organisations & Society). She is currently Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences (2018-2022). She holds a PhD in Social Sciences (Ghent University, 2007) and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology (2007-2009).

Heidi Vandebosch is professor at the Communication Studies Department of the University of Antwerp (Belgium). She has been conducting research on cyberbullying (prevalence, profiles of bullies and victims, impact, evidence-based interventions, the role of schools, police and news media) since 2005. She was a member of the management committee of COST Action IS0801 "Cyberbullying: dealing with negative and reinforcing positive use of new technologies, in relationships in educational settings".

Maarten Weyn obtained his PhD in Science-Informatics on the topic of Opportunistic Seamless Localisation at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He is a professor at the University of Antwerp, currently teaching in the 3rd year Bachelor Mobile Communication and Telecommunication and in the Master Communication Systems and Internet of Things: Low Power Embedded Communicaton in the Department of Applied Sciences: Electronics - ICT and in the postgraduate course Internet of Things the course Context Aware Wireless Embedded Systems. He is also responsible for the Ambient Environments team project of the postgraduate innovative entrepreneurship of the Flemish universities.

Steven Latré is professor at the University of Antwerp and director of the research centre imec, Belgium. He leads the research group IDLab Antwerp (100+ members), which performs applied and fundamental research in the field of communication networks and distributed intelligence. His personal research interests are in the area of low-power machine learning and its application to wireless network optimisation.

Clara Alida Cutello is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Marketing. She is interested in the fields of applied psychology, social psychology, health psychology and their clinical and industrial applications to health care. She has a keen interest in how behaviour change techniques can be applied to improve the health, safety and resilience of young people. Further interest is in the application of behavioural economics and human factors in health psychology and studying the personality and social factors that motivate people to engage in risky behaviour.

Michelle Symons is a PhD student within the Department of Communication Sciences at the University of Antwerp. As a PhD student, she is part of the research group Media & ICT in Organisations and Society (MIOS). Her research focuses on stimulating people to adopt healthier behaviour. More specifically, she looks at messages that can help adaptive interventions that seek to change behaviour through smartphone applications and wearable technology. She received her master's degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Antwerp in 2018, specialising in Strategic Communication.

Mohammad Hasan Rahmani is a PhD student at the Department of Electronics & ICT and is part of the research group IDLab. His research focuses on Wireless Embedded Systems.
