The overarching focus of the research is to study the complex mechanisms that govern basophil and mast cell activation mainly in drug hypersensitivity and anaphylaxis in mastocytosis. Particular expertise has been gathered in the domains of perioperative anaphylaxis, betalactam and hymenoptera venom allergy.
Aim of our research is identifying diagnostic pathways and therapeutic targets to improve management of patients with mast cell and basophil mediated hypersensitivity.
