Unlocking the Future of Neuroscience Through Open Science

Open Science is transforming the way we explore the brain. By breaking down barriers and opening access to data, tools, and knowledge, researchers across the globe are accelerating discoveries that were once unimaginable.

In a field defined by massive datasets, intricate methods, and collaboration across disciplines, Open Science makes neuro-research more transparent, more innovative, and more impactful.

Join us at the µNEURO event Neuroscience in the Open Era: Sharing Data, Accelerating Discovery to share good practices and experiences, and get inspired by experts in the field.

Practical Information

Friday 10th of October 2025

Location: Campus Drie Eiken, Aula O2

This event is free, and open to all interested (neuroscience) researchers of the University of Antwerp. Prior registration is required.

Share Your Open Science Story

Are you advancing transparency, collaboration, or accessibility in neuroscience? Sharing your software, scripts, or datasets through specific platforms? Contributing to or building your research on large publicly available datasets? Inspire peers with your approach to data sharing, open methods, or collaborative platforms.

We’re inviting (µNEURO) researchers to showcase their good practices in Open Science through a 10-minute presentation. Please e-mail liesbeth.vanherp@uantwerpen.be before 7 September with your tentative title or topic.

By sharing practical solutions and lessons learned, we aim to share experiences about the realistic implementation of Open Science practices.
