In some special cases you do not enrol as a degree student but register within an interuniversity agreement or programme, or as a postgraduate student
Interuniversity agreement
Purpose: attend courses at the University of Antwerp when you are enrolled in a degree programme at another Flemish university (= your home university). Your home university has given you permission to select a limited number of courses from another university which you cannot attend at your home university. Language requirements apply.
You will need to complete an online preregistration. In the Study history section you should indicate that you are a guest student. In the Study choice section you should make the following selection: Diploma contract > Exchange programme > Interuniversity agreement > Interuniversity agreement X" (X will be the faculty of your choice).
You should already have received a permission to register from the concerned faculty of the University of Antwerp.
You register during the enrolment period. Please note that your enrolment in your home institution should be visible in the Database Higher Education. For this, we always need your Belgian national number (rijksregisternummer) so complete it on the preregistration form.
You will not have to pay to register. Once your preregistration has been processed by the registrar's office, you will receive a personal access code for the student portal. You can register for the courses you wish to take at the University of Antwerp using the SisA selfservice module (activated 24 hours after registration in the programme). A student card will be send to you by regular mail if your passport photo meets the criteria.
Interuniversity programme
Purpose: you are enrolled in an interuniversity degree programme at another Flemish university (= your home university) in which the University of Antwerp participates. In the framework of this programme, you have to attend courses at the University of Antwerp.
You will need to complete an online preregistration. In the Study history section you should indicate that you are a guest student. In the Study choice section you should make the following selection: Diploma contract > Exchange programme > Interuniversity agreement > Interuniversity programme X" (where X is the programme you have chosen)

Postgraduate course or Micro-credential
You will need to complete an online preregistration. In the Study history section you should indicate that you are a lifelong learning student. In the Study choice section you have to make the following selection: Diploma contract > Lifelong Learning > Postgraduate X > Postgraduate X (where X is the name of the postgraduate course) or Diploma contract > Lifelong Learning > MC X > Micro-credential X" (where X is the name of the micro-credential).
You should already have received a permission to register from the course organisor.
Information about the payment of the tuition fee can be obtained from the organising institution. Once your registration has been processed by the registrar's office, you will receive a personal access code for the student portal. You can register for the courses of your programme using the SisA selfservice module (activated 24 hours after enrolment in the programme). Please contact the institution organising the course for more information.
A student card will be send to you by regular mail if your passport photo meets the criteria.
